Preparing for the 2015 Winter storm

One of the emergencies that we might face is stormy weather.

During heavy rain, snow or blizzard, residential areas might be disconnected from water, electricity and other utilities.

Therefore, we advise you of several alternatives to be prepared for the upcoming storm and make sure that you and your family are safe and prepared.

The following is a list of items that will help you during the storm:

• Water bottles (at least four liters per person per day)

• Dry food and preserves

• Flashlight and batteries

• Fully charged emergency lights

• Warm clothing and blankets

• Battery-operated radio and backup batteries

• Fully-charged mobile phone and backup battery

• Generator

• Inspect drainages to check that they are in proper condition, make sure that the roof is properly sealed and that trees are pruned

We also recommend to follow any instructions provided by the media.
