The Home Front Command Hazmat Center has developed a unique Hazmat data base in Hebrew which includes: chemical and physical attributes, classifications, storage instructions, neutralization methods, special risks, personal protective measures, toxicity data, and directions for handling an event.
The data are based on a range of professional literature, data bases, and professional knowledge acquired over the years that the Center has been dealing with the topic on an ongoing basis.
The data base requires the Access applications generator. System requirements are:
- a PC
- Access XP with Hebrew support
- 40 MB free space on the C drive
- a 600*800 resolution and small fonts (if the resolution is 768*1024, it is possible to use larger fonts)
- Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating system
- a DVD/CD-ROM drive for installation
The cost of the data base consists of an initial installation fee and annual subscription fees.
